just wondering if anyone on here has sold a leaseback or is in the process of selling and if they just used a notaire or did they use a solicitor as well to tie up all the loose ends?
There is no need for you to find either. Whoever is managing the sale normally selects the notaire, but the notaire is independent - he acts on behalf of the french goverment. As well as ensuring the deed is transferred to the new buyer, he must also tie up "loose ends". For example ensuring all debt is paid off which is attached to the property e.g. mortgage, pro-rata co-ownership fees and taxe fonciere.
