Does anyone know of a UK based management service company that can deal with the Tax authorities in France? I am at the end of my tether with dealing with this. Ok. I know it's my own fault for leaving things to the last minute but I keep having to pay penalties for late payment on stuff that arrives with no english translaltion. And guess what? I can never get to speak to any English speaking people at the tax office.
Don't beat me up guys. I'm just an ignorant Englishman.

hi Squiggle, do you know many French speakers at the English Tax Office?
Leasebacks are considered a business rather than traditional real estate and the tax forms are rather complex. I had my taxes done for the first 3 years by GEFI/EUREFI, you can contact Aurelie Rodrigues at arodrigues@gefieurefi.fr.
I'm now doing the taxes myself after studying how they completed the forms. It's a major pain in the ... but I won't keep paying 200 Euros each year..
In addition to the normal income tax form there are 2 forms, one is a BIC form for the net profit and the other form "TVA" is where you show the VAT received and the VAT paid. the forms can be downloaded from the tax office website www.impots.gouv.fr.
My accountant offset the VAT received on rents (TVA collectee) against the VAT paid on the furniture pack (TVA deductible), so each year the balance of TVA deductible diminishes by the amount of VAT received.
If you want more info I can send you scans of the forms in question.
