House sale

28 June 2020

We have recently sold our house in France it was under leaseback with M/V. We bought ourselves out of the leaseback at a fairly high cost, We made loss on the orginal sale + all the bills and the interest on the Mortgage also a proportion of the TVA to pay back. We did have lots of lovely holidays but did pay the price emotionally and financially particually with the management.

So pleased to be out of it all now. Our thanks go to the Agent, the buyers paid the fees which was great considering the treads on this site.

Purchase of VACANCES BLEUES

19 June 2020

Hi,

I am new to the forum and just trying to do some initial research.

I'm looking to purchase a property that has a lease with VACANCES BLEUES  until 2022. The agent assured me that after this date I'm free to do as I wish with the property and it's no different to purchasing a standard, older property, but having stumbled upon this site I'm not convinced. It was built in 2022.

Could someone shed some light?

im just looking for a second / holiday home that I may rent out from time to time.

thanks

Deafult on leaseback

4 June 2020

Hi all,

I've been a spectator for a while but not posted previously. I've been stuck in a deteriorating situation for a while now with a leaseback that I was missold in 2008.

With a third (and very significant, long term) rent drop proposed by the management company, I am at the point of walking away. I have not signed the papers to agree to the latest rent reduction.

Credit Foncier - Mortgage relief

28 May 2020

Hi everyone,

If you have a loan with Credit Foncier and looking for a Mortgage relief / Holiday period. You may have asked and they have refused, keep insisting about your demand, pushing the fact that you have lost incomes etc... repeat few times your demand if they don't answer and they may eventually come with 3 months holiday.

I have done this few times now and they always refuse initially, but came out with 3 months after few demands.

Regards,

Eddy

French Leaseback owners launch Petition to Save Rents

13 May 2020

The French have launched a petition against leaseback owners bearing the brunt of the Covid-19 measures.  As usual, the big tourist operators are benefitting while we are sacrificed.

The more we co-operate with our French counterparts in this whole fiasco, the stronger we'll be.

Rent not paid - Coronavirus ... mortgage relief/holiday?

21 April 2020

Hello everyone -

hope you are all safe and healthy.

My apartment in Divonne les Bains is managed by Vacances Bleues. They have been prompt with rent payment on a quarterly basis. But the rent due on 02-April-2020 was not paid and no explanation was sent to me by Vacances Bleues. Tried to get in contac with them but they are not responding/answering.

Has anyone else had rents unpaid due to Coronavirus? Is this legal? Are the property managers supposed to at least notify the owners? Do they have to make compensation later donw the road after Coronavirus is behind us?
