Hi,
I was talking to agents in France who have investors interested in purchasing residences as a whole unit. They transform the property into social housing.
The advantage for current owners is that they sell at the local property market value. They don't care of the state of the property.
The disadvantage, you could have to pay compensation to management in place, and pay percentage of VAT back.
There are a lot of conditions for this to work of course and the main one is to have 100% of the units for sell including commercial units. But it sound like a good solution when a leaseback is gone crazy and badly maintained.
Regards,
Eddy,
We did this. The crooks of a management company offered to pay 50% of rent (the usual scam) but we held firm with our CDP and insisted on payment. When they couldn't pay a receiver came in and shortly afterwards the leases were cancelled. We then soild the entire residence to an investor. It does work but you need the agreement of everyone.
I wish we could get all together and discuss but it is very difficult to get them all to communicate.
Hi Eddy, you and I and a few others are trying as per recent e mails re Bastides de Grimaud. Let's hope it gathers momentum and we get somewhere!
cheers, Iain
We are in to sell as well. Is there a way we can get a list of all the Owners and have a group discussion about this. I am sure all the owners, like we, are pretty fed up with the whole scam.
Hi Amanzi, are you an owner at Bastides de Grimaud?
