Our management company DG Holidays terminated our lease on 26 January 2022, along with the majority of the apartments on the resort - A settlement was agreed with DG that we would be paid 50% of rent owed since 2018 with the remaining 50% paid in 24 monthly installments. Other owners I believe have received settlement of the first 50% but none of these monies has been forth coming as of todays date to ourselves personally. There is 4 years left of the 20 year VAT period. Our accountants have sent us a procuration form to complete and sign and they are to draw up final tax declarations for the period 01/01/22 until 26/01/22. The portion of VAT to pay back is 10702 euros - we have 60 days from date of termination to pay the amount due.
Any advice would be appreciated - we were under the impression we had one year to find a new management company before VAT would be repayable. To complicate matters we are considering accepting an offer on the property - at a huge loss - but in the current climate and personal circumstances her in the UK we may not have any option.

Our flats were also terminated by the Operator with 5 years left on the Lease Agreement. I am looking now for a lawyer with experience in dealing with leaseback problems to consult and hire. If anyone has suggestions, please post on this Forum. I would be most appreciative. Thank you.
