I have just found out about leaseback and have been contacted by a company who have a place in Oz en Oisans in Alpe d' Hues. Can anyone tell me if this is a good place to buy and is the skiing good there?
Not knowing France very well I would be grateful of any advise of were to buy, which are the good companies to deal with, and any pitfalls that I should look out for.
Are the selling prices fixed or can you negotiate?

I am very new to leaseback. I am wondering if anyone who has done this already could tell me what you end up paying every year in addition to the rent you get to keep up the mortgage payments? Obviously, it all depends on the amount of your mortgage but I just can't understand how agents can sell leasebacks as "self financing" - maybe I am doing my sums wrong?!! Any advice atall would be most welcome!!
I have now owned a leaseback for 3 years and these have been the ongoing costs;
accountants fee - 330 euros a year
co owners fee 150 euros a year
taxe fonciere 80 euros
so around 530 euros or 45 a month
my mortgage costs 600 per month. so total 645 a month. (96% mortgage)
I earn 1300 a quarter or 410 a month so 245 short although the interest and costs are only around 340 a month so i treat it as a pension contribution. with a greater down payment i could have made it cashflow even
